AmeriCorps Fellowship

“Getting things done since 2009”

OneOC, in partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service, is proud to offer AmeriCorps fellowships in the following areas: Volunteer Infrastructure Program (VIP), Promoting College Ready Environments through Mentoring Partnership Program (CalPREP), Community Emergency Preparedness Corps (CEPC), and Veteran Leader Corps (VLC.)  As an AmeriCorps member with OneOC, members work hard building the volunteer infrastructure of Orange County’s most prominent nonprofits, as well as building mentoring relationships for underserved public school children, engaging veterans in service and addressing disaster-related topics.

For young people entering the workforce, AmeriCorps programs provide members with job-readiness skills and pathways to future opportunities.  Nationally, AmeriCorps places thousands of adults in service positions where they learn valuable life skills, earn money for education, and develop an appreciation for their communities.

A History of Service

OneOC has hosted AmeriCorps National/Direct Corps members since 2009 and the program has grown every year.  In the first year of the program, nonprofits in Orange County hosted nine AmeriCorps fellowships.  As of 2015, there are 34 OneOC AmeriCorps members serving at over 20 sites in Orange County.  For 2014-2015, OneOC has been proud to announce the beginning of our exciting new disaster preparedness program, CEPC.  OneOC is looking to expand the program even further in 2015-2016 as Orange County’s nonprofits realize the potential and passion of AmeriCorps members around the nation.
