RSVP is funded and supported by the Corporation for National & Community Service and OneOC
RSVP, formerly known as the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, is a Free members-only program, through the Corporation of National Community Service for adults 55+.
Established in 1971, RSVP is now one of the largest senior volunteer initiatives in the nation— engaging more than 400,000 RSVP volunteers assisting local nonprofits, public agencies and community organizations. Currently in Orange County more than 1,300 active volunteers serve in the areas of Education, Health & Nutrition and Public Safety. RSVP volunteers choose where and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours a month to 40 hours per week. At OneOC our top priority is to accelerate nonprofit success for our organizations, while providing a meaningful volunteer engagement for our members. Become a partner agency TODAY!
Featured RSVP Partner Agency: YMCA of Orange
The YMCA of Orange is an association of persons of all ages, ethnic groups, and religious affiliations who are united in a common effort to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice and to enrich the quality of spiritual, mental, physical, and social life for individuals and families of the community. For 88 years, they have proudly served the community with outstanding programs designed to build strong kids and strong families and strong communities. Rest assured that when you volunteer in any one of their exceptional programs, you are involved with an organization that has deep-rooted values in the community and its members. The After School Education and Safety program (ASES) is located at 6 program sites throughout the City of Orange. ASES aims to provide literacy, academic enrichment, and safe, constructive alternatives for students in grades K-9 as well as our outstanding staff members are trained and motivated to provide volunteers and program members with a unique life enriching experience. It’s a great way to volunteer, and a fabulously fun experience. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
How do we become an RSVP partner agency?
The first step is to contact us. OneOC is happy to discuss the requirements and application process. As the number of stations we can work with are limited by our federal grant, we will only accept into the program those organizations that can help us meet our current needs. We work with nonprofits, public agencies, proprietary healthcare and faith-based organizations. We are especially interested in working with those in areas that address our primary service areas: Education, Health & Nutrition and Public Safety Programs.
Log in to the Volunteer Reporter System to report your hours.
We are always glad to hear from you!
